How I Got Here
My start in fintech was unplanned. I was helping run FinTEX Chicago when Yodlee, one of our sponsors, saw how I worked with developers, partners, and all the moving pieces behind an event. That connection brought me onto Yodlee's developer ecosystem team, where I helped build programs across the United States and Europe and supported work in Australia.
Yodlee became my training ground. I learned how to bring technical teams and outside communities together, translate complex products into experiences people could understand, and create the momentum that keeps an ecosystem growing.
In 2019, Yodlee sponsored Detroit Blockchain Center's first pitch competition. That was my entry into Web3 and the infrastructure behind it, including APIs, verification, identity, and the systems connecting emerging technology to real users.
A few years later, I created a holiday event called Decentralized December. Cointelegraph covered it, and someone from Sui reached out to ask if I could build an event for their community. I said yes before I had every detail figured out. That project became the beginning of Copter Consulting.
That is the thread running through my career: I step into complicated, fast-moving spaces, bring the right people together, and build something tangible that others can continue growing.
Today I'm Director of Partnerships at Detroit Blockchain Center and run Copter Consulting, a boutique studio helping protocols, startups, and DAOs turn Web3 concepts into real rooms and real ecosystems. I'm especially focused on DePIN right now, piloting Helium hardware with Detroit businesses, and I recently joined the Polkadot Ambassador Program to bring more global pathways into Michigan.
